New Publication on Acute Phase Proteins

Dr. Carolyn Cray has authored an extensive review paper entitled, “Acute Phase Proteins in Animals”. Published in the current issue of Progress in Molecular Biology and Translational Science, this paper provides an excellent summary of the acute phase response. The biology of each major acute phase protein is discussed as well as their clinical value. Lastly, an extensive review of the publications on this subject is provided by species. This paper should serve as a key reference to all interested in this growing field of biomarkers of inflammation. If you would like a copy of this paper, please contact the laboratory (PMBTS, 105:113-150, 2011).
